Suzie Seagraves Photography – Orlando Child Photographer, Florida Child Photographer, Child Model Photographer bio picture

Welcome to my Studio Journal!

I am an internationally recognized child portrait photographer based in Central Florida; however, I travel extensively nationally & internationally to serve my Clients. I specialize in on-location, lifestyle portraits of children and families. I am not your typical studio photographer as I forego the forced smiles and fake backdrops to capture children in their own environment to allow their true personalities to emerge. I absolutely LOVE to photograph children! It is my passion and I feel that it is an honor and privilege for me to capture precious memories at a time in their lives that will never come again.

My Studio Journal is more than just a Blog. It is a place where I showcase a few of my favorite images from my sessions, along with personal thoughts and photos from my life. You will find this a little more indepth and personal than my website with all the latest photos, news and happenings. It's more ME.

Thank you for stopping by! Please come back often and leave a comment when you do! :)

R.I.P

Sorry I have been MIA from my blog of late. I recently lost not one, but TWO, of my pets. The past 6 weeks have been very rough. I lost Natalie, my beloved girl who I have had for 17 years, the day before Mother’s Day. It was sudden and unexpected and she died in my arms. I was so not prepared, as we never are. A few weeks later, Mommie, my girl I’ve had for 14 years, was diagnosed with cancer. I have spent the past two weeks caring for her around the clock and I finally had to let her go yesterday 6/28/10. I don’t know what is harder, losing one unexpectedly or having to say goodbye to one. They have been through thick and thin with me: through my father’s cancer and death; relationships and break-ups; 3 moves and were always there no matter how bad of a day to greet me with purring warmth and love. I miss them both so much. They were more than pets, they were my family and although I gave them a great life, they gave me a lifetime of unconditional love and support. Rest In Peace my precious babies :’(

Natalie

Mommie

Saying my last goodbye. That last hug lasted about 30min. I didn’t want to let her go. Hardest thing ever.

Here’s a short video I shot with my iPhone last week while I was home taking care of her. She LOVED my shoes! Always has, would rub her face on them forever and ever. It was the cutest thing. The morning I had to take her in, she rubbed her face on them, as weak as she was.

I can only tell you I did not expect you to be so HANDS ON, but you were every where and with every one but I appreciated the lttle one on one and the quick tips you gave us. I have written down all the little tips at post production and Im using them as of yesterday. Thank you for sharing this Moment with me, and I have to say one more time WOW!!! what a great workshop and I hope you enjoyed the photo I sent to you earlier. Thanks, Michelle

Baby Maddie is here! – Orlando Newborn Child Photographer

I would like to a welcome beautiful baby Maddie to the world!! I was so thrilled when her parents told me that they were expecting at our first shoot! She was just a little over 2 weeks old in these pics and did so amazingly well for me. The perfect, most precious little girl ever. And big sister Ellie did a great job too of helping out! Such a gorgeous family and I am so honored to capture these precious moments for them!

April 7, 2010 - 5:19 pm Kimberly Hosey (Arizona Writer) - These are all such fabulous shots. I especially like the one on the swing! Fantastic color and lighting.

Paws in the Park 2010

I had the honor of helping my good friend and fabulous photographer, Lori Barbely, shoot the SPCA’s Paws in the Park on February 13, 2010. For Florida, it was a freezing, dreary day on Lake Eola, but lots and lots of fun. There was a great turnout despite the less than desirable weather conditions and the cutest doggies, and one kitty!!

Thank you to my photographer friend Robyn for creating this, I LOVE IT!!!

I got so many great shots, these are just a few of my favorites. Thank you Abby SO much for doing such a great job!

I have been so completely swamped with holiday sesssions this month, I haven’t had a chance to post some of  my favorites! After a month of shooting, these are winding down and I am not booking any more sessions. But I wanted to take a minute a post a few of some of the beautiful and wonderful families that I have shot this past month! More too come, I promise! If you are waiting on proofs, I am feverishly editing and processing them as fast as I can and will have them to you soon!
